Everyday life looks really very simple over here.

At the end of the paved road we enter into the tiny ski resort of Oukaïmeden. In summer this place is only for the sepherds. In winter for the more wealthy ‘Marrakchi’ and some tourists from abroad. Here you can try out your ski’s at the high summit of Jebel (mountain) Oukaïmeden. With excellent views on the mountain range of the Massive du Toubkal.

In the afternoon we walk over the pass Tizi-n-Eddi to the remote valley of Imenane. Here we stay in a typical small Berber village in a simple erberguesthouse and an beautiful spot in the middle of the mountains. The mint tea will be waiting for us. And all our meals are freshly prepared by our ‘own’ cook and ‘local crew’. So for in the evening a complete relax. Just …. do not forget to enjoy the sun set.

Climbing Bou Igouneouane (3.880m) + Ski

Today we will start our first (long) ascent on our tour ski’s to the summit of the Bou Igouneouane mountain. De descent on ski will be rewarding. For on the road we take a picknick lunch with us. And when we get back to our Berberguesthouse the Berber mint tea will be waiting for us.

Climbing Tizi Likemt (3.555m) + Ski

Today another ascent to the high pass Tizi Likemt where we will have a nice view over the valley of Assif-n-Tinzer. Descent on ski. Nice picknick at the foot of the mountain. After lunch hike to Imlil/Tamatert by the pass Tizi Tamatert, back to Imlil. Overnight stay in a nice Berber Guesthouse.

Imlil – Toubkal hut (3.200m)

Today you go for another long walk; only going up and taking us higher and higher untill the mountain hut at 3.200m. From the snow line the mules have to stop and porters are hired for luggage transport. On the road we will enjoy a nice lunch in the pilgrimage spot of Sidi Chamarouch. Upon arival at the hut we can go a little higher for some ski and acclimatization to altitude. In the evening after our dinner we will go to sleep early as tomorrow it will be the big day …

Climbing Toubkal (4.167m) + Ski

Today we will get up early. The sooner we reach the summit, the better the chances that we have beautiful views. The climbing we do slowly step by step as we have to get used to the altitude. Look carefully to the way the local guide is conquering the steep parts; it looks like a little trick but when you copy his example you will do fine. On top op the mountain we will enjoy our view over all the other mountains. As we are on top of the world. At least in this part of North Africa. Then we will go down and enjoy a beautifull descent on ski. And as always; the descent is going too fast, so take care to enjoy.

Climbing Timeguida or Ras-n-Ouanakrim + Ski

After the satisfaction of the peak yesterday, you have the occasion today for climbing another mountain of over 4.000 meters. There is Akioud (4.030m.), Ras-n-Ouanakrim (4.083m) or Timesguida (4.089m.). And all offcourse with a nice a ski descent back to the hut.

Another beautifull day to spent in the mountains. And slo for today there is a 4.ooo meter mountain to conquer and te be skied. The options are plenty …

Decent to Imlil – transfer Marrakech

Today you have plenty of time for the descent back to the mountain village of Imlil. Depending on the height of the snow line, you will go a long way on your ski’s. After all practises of the past days this part is not diffcicut anymore so look around and enjoy the environment. In Imlil our transport is waiting for us to take us back to Marrakech. In the evening you can enjoy the food and artist spectacle on Jemaa el Fna or just wander through the alleys of the souks to buy your souvenirs.
