Day Excursion High Atlas – Tuesday or Saturday with weekly farmer market (souk)

The High Atlas Mountains are only a little more than a one hour drive from Marrakech. Make a trip to the Berber villages & valleys “and you will enter into a different world”. As there is a way of a difference between Europe and Marrakesh, there is another way of a difference between the busy and big city of (Arabic) Marrakesh and the small, tiny and remote Berber villages surrounded by huge mountains and beautiful nature.

With a private transfer from Marrakech on a beautiful road we will ride into the mountains (with photo stops) up to the Berber village of Imlil (1740m.). In the middle of the colorful and rugged mountains, you can take a good look around. We will make a nice walk through the small Berber villages around Imlil with a local guide who shows you the best views and tells about life in the mountains, the culture and traditions of the Berber people. Includes a delicious lunch at a Berber family home; meeting the locals!
At the end of the afternoon you will be brought back with a private transfer to Marrakech. On the road we will make a last stop to give you the feeling of ancient times when transport was still with  a camel.
This 20 minutes camelride is included in the trip!
