Arrival at Marrakech Airport
After passing the customs you will meet our driver at the airport. He will bring you to the old medina. Because your Riad hotel is situated in a small alley, you have to walk the last bit. So we arranged Brahim with his luggage-car (charriot) to show you the way. Although he gets his salary for his job do not forget that Morocco is a country where tipping is very usual. If you do not have small money yet tell him he will get something on the return transfer to the airport. Or you can buy a bottle of water somewhere to get your small money. In almost every grocery-shop in the souks, you can buy a bottle of 1.5 ltr mineral water for 6 to 10 Dirham.
Upon arrival you will explore the Jemaa el Fna square for sure.
Visit Marrakech
Today you have plenty of time to go out. In this dream citytrip there are 2 excursions included;
– the cooking class and
– the day excursion to the High Atlas mountains.
The last one is nice to do on Tuesday or Saturday when there is a weekly local farmers souk on the road. On Tuesday in Tahanaout and on Saturday in Asni.
If you do not start with this day excursion it is nice to go for the cooking class to learn the city and to learn about habits and food.
Cooking class starts at 1oh30 and it includes shopping in the souks and a Moroccan lunch.
Visit Marrakech or the Atlas Mountains
Today you have all the time to wander through the city. You get our description for a nice city-walk to visit the highlights. If you like you can book an extra excursion te discover the city by bicycle.
If you go to the mountains you will see a different world; with beautiful colored mountains, small Berber villages and hospitable and friendly people. You will take a walk with a local guide and enjoy a lunch in a Berber home.
Visit Marrakech and relax
This day is nice to explore some gardens of Marakech. Menara garden and the Palmeraie are not too spectacular. You better choose for the Jardin Majorelle, Le Jardin Secret et les Jardins de Agdal. For the last one you need good shoes or a bicycle …
